Background: Schaztker II fracture is the most common type of the tibial plateau fractures (TPF). There has been a large number of cadaveric biomechanical studies and finite element simulation studies to explore the most stable fixation methods for this ...

Morphological Analysis of Fractures of the Proximal Humerus by the Fracture Mapping Technique
ObjectiveFractures of different parts of the proximal humerus may lead to different postoperative functional deficits, but there are few studies on the morphology and related functions of the proximal humerus. The purpose of this study was to analyze the fracture pattern of the proximal humerus by the three‐dimensional (3‐D) fracture mapping technique ...

Experimentally induced incomplete burst fractures - a novel technique for calf and human specimens
Background Fracture morphology is crucial for the clinical decision-making process preceding spinal fracture treatment. The presented experimental approach was designed in order to ensure reproducibility of induced fracture morphology.

The wave field data which is monitored the fracturing crack by micro seismic in the well is complex, especially when the shear wave (S-wave) encounters the fracture. The shear wave will split into the fast or slow wave. The polarization directions of the

Morphology of the femur in proximal femoral fractures [PDF]
We studied the morphology of the contralateral femur in 10 patients with subcapital fractures, 10 with trochanteric fractures and 10 with unilateral osteoarthritis. We found that the patients with trochanteric fractures had a significantly shorter femoral neck (4.5 +/- 0.5 cm) than patients with subcapital fractures or osteoarthritis (5.4 +/- 0.4 cm).

Essential work of fracture of poly(ϵ-caprolactone)/boehmite alumina nanocomposites: Effect of surface coating [PDF]
The essential work of fracture (EWF) approach has been adopted to reveal the effect of nanofillers on the toughness of poly(ε-caprolactone)/boehmite alumina (PCL/BA) nanocomposites.

The creep-fatigue fracture behavior of selective laser melting (SLM) AlSi10Mg alloy was studied by conducting in-situ scanning electron microscopy experiments at 500 degrees C. Dwell times of 0, 60 and 120 s were introduced to the tensile-tensile fatigue.

Morphological abnormalities of the hip in acetabular fractures
Poor prognosis factors in surgical treatment of acetabular fracture-dislocations have been well established but there is little information about how morphological abnormalities of the hip may affect the surgical outcome. Hip anatomy has a wide range of variations.
