Fractured petroleum reservoirs [PDF]
Total compressibility in a fractured reservoir is estimated using the pressure response due to gravitational potential variations. Both the moon and the sun gravitational potentials are accounted for using the full expression by inclusion of longer-period components. The semi-diurnal and diurnal pressure data show substantial long-term variations.

Nonisothermal injection tests in fractured reservoirs [PDF]
The paper extends the analysis of nonisothermal pressure transient data to fractured reservoirs. Two cases are considered: reservoirs with predominantly horzontal fractures and reservoirs with predominantly vertical fractures.

Geomechanical impacts on flow in fractured reservoirs
Flow responses in fractured reservoirs are difficult to predict. Apparent success in predicting flow has been achieved by developing simple rules of thumb based on (i) alterations of effective stress associated with pore pressure changes or (ii) concepts

A 3D‐Printed Blister Test Platform for Quantifying Biointerface Adhesion Mechanisms
A 3D‐printed blister platform enables energy‐resolved characterization of soft hydrogel–rigid interfaces. Integrating precision pressure control with hyperelastic modeling directly quantifies adhesion energy (G) and R‐curve toughening. Results reveal that modulating hydrogel concentration and surface roughness drives a tunable transition from cohesive ...

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...
