Fractal of Fracture System in Rock Mass
For modeling groundwater flow and mechanical responses of fractured rock mass, to grasp the characteristics of fractures is essentially needed. Recently, the concept of fractal has been applied by some researchers to describe the fracture system. In this study, the authors report a statistical approach made to check the adaptability of the concept of ...

CONSIDERATIONS IN FRACTURE OF ROCK MASS BY USING TRIAL HYDRAULIC ROCK FRACTURE MACHINE

Shear-slipe Deformation and Critical Stress State Discriminant Criteria for Fault Rock Masses
Deep fault rock mass may undergo large-scale slip deformation under the action of tectonic stress or engineering disturbance, which has a non-negligible impact on engineering and human activities.

Corrected Rock Fracture Parameters Applied to Qatari Rock Masses
This paper is the continuation of the author's previous publications and an attempt to shed light on some of the presented propositions, therein. In his previous work, the author introduced a novel parameter for borehole rock mass evaluation, the FIC, (Fracture Index Corrected) and applied it to Qatari rock masses along with RQDC (Rock Quality ...

A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

The damage-fracture evolution of deep rock mass has obvious particularity, which is revealed in 2400-m-deep tunnels by field tests. The evolution of the excavation damaged zone depth is consistent with that of the fractured zone depth.
