Fast Neutron Detector Based on Hybrid 2D Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the direct detection of fast neutrons using flexible hybrid 2D perovskite (PEA2PbBr4) thin‐film detectors. Thanks to their high low‐Z elements content and good charge transport, these materials enable efficient neutron detection. The thin film configuration allowed the operation at low voltage, and offer scalability, flexibility, and

Omnidirectional Transmissive Acoustic Metasurfaces Based on Goldberg Polyhedra

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces omnidirectional acoustic metasurfaces capable of manipulating wavefronts in multiple arbitrary directions simultaneously. A full‐stack pipeline for design, optimization, and fabrication is presented to construct near‐spherical holograms based on Goldberg polyhedra.

Updated report on tools to measure outcomes of clinical trials in fragile X syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Neurodevelopmental Disorders, 2017
Fragile X syndrome (FXS) has been the neurodevelopmental disorder with the most active translation of preclinical breakthroughs into clinical trials. This process has led to a critical assessment of outcome measures, which resulted in a comprehensive ...

Genetic/Environmental Influences in Fragile X Disease

open access: yesPediatric Neurology Briefs, 2002
The genetic and environmental factors influencing cognitive outcomes in 120 children (80 boys and 40 girls) with the fragile X full mutation and their unaffected siblings were determined by in-home evaluations and reported from the Departments of ...

Scaling out the density dependence of the $α$ relaxation in glassforming polymers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We show that the density and temperature dependences of the $\alpha$-relaxation time of several glassforming polymers can be described through a single scaling variable $X=e(\rho)/T$, where $e(\rho)$ is well fitted by a power law $\rho^x$, $x$ being a species-specific parameter.

Synthetic Strategy for mRNA Encapsulation and Gene Delivery with Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This research utilizes the ZIF‐8 for the encapsulation and intracellular delivery of nucleic acids, specifically mRNA, for applications in gene delivery. Integrating PEI addresses the issue of mRNA leakage from ZIF‐8, resulting in the delivery and expression of green fluorescent protein (GFP) in vitro and firefly luciferase in vivo.

Fragile X Syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Health Science and Medical Research (JHSMR), 2012
Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is the most common X-linked mental retardation disorder. Most patients are males. In Thailand, the incidence of FXS in boys with mental retardation or delayed development is approximately 7%.
