Exploring an Alternative to mRNA Vaccine Cold Chain Storage: MRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticle Stability When Dried in a Polymer Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Bifunctional Surfaces With Immobilized Antibodies and Bioactive Peptides Mediate Selective Capture and Proliferation of Endothelial Colony‐Forming Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A tunable bifunctional surface is developed by combining Fc‐binding peptides and RGD motifs to present oriented antibodies alongside integrin‐mediated signaling. The platform selectively captures endothelial colony‐forming cells while promoting their adhesion and proliferation.

Immunoglobulin-Related Fibroinflammatory Diseases of Uncertain Etiology—Polarized Isotype Switching Connects an Ancient with a Contemporary Disease

open access: yesLymphatics
IgG4 is an unusual immunoglobulin (Ig) and is the least component of IgG in humans. It is often asymmetrical and heterobivalent with weak Fc (fragment crystallizable region)-dependent effector function and ineffective complement activation, thus playing ...
