Lyman alpha dominance of the Classical T Tauri FUV Radiation Field
Far-ultraviolet (FUV) radiation plays an important role in determining chemical abundances in protoplanetary disks. HI Lyman alpha is suspected to be the dominant component of the FUV emission from Classical T Tauri Stars (CTTSs), but is difficult to ...

Pricing and reimbursement of innovative pharmaceuticals in France and the new healthcare reform
Over the last years, many cost-containment measures were implemented by the government leading to drastic price-cuts. New paradigms and healthcare models are emerging and health technology assessments are increasingly taken into consideration. France has

The inactivation of SLC35C1 (GDP‐fucose transporter) and enzymes involved in GDP‐fucose biosynthesis was studied. Fucose supplementation increases the level of GDP‐fucose to abnormal, millimolar values in the absence of the TSTA3 protein and SLC35C1 in contrast to the GMDS/SLC35C1 double mutant.

The K+‐Cl− cotransporters (KCCs) facilitate the symport of ions across the plasma membrane. They participate in physiological processes including neuronal regulation. Here, we characterized KCCs from Drosophila and Hydra vulgaris. Comparative analyses of transporters provide insights into the mechanism of KCC ion transport, regulation, and evolution ...

Clustering-based method for the feeder selection to improve the characteristics of load shedding
Under-frequency load shedding (UFLS) schemes are designed by specifying a given amount of load to shed at various frequency thresholds to prevent the collapse of the electrical power system in the event of a large generation-load imbalance.

Microfluidic electro‐viscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles
The electro‐viscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.

Mitochondrial DNA disorders in neuromuscular diseases in diverse populations
Abstract Neuromuscular features are common in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) disorders. The genetic architecture of mtDNA disorders in diverse populations is poorly understood. We analysed mtDNA variants from whole‐exome sequencing data in neuromuscular patients from South Africa, Brazil, India, Turkey and Zambia. In 998 individuals, there were two definite

On the existence of admissible supersingular representations of $p$-adic reductive groups
Suppose that $\mathbf{G}$ is a connected reductive group over a finite extension $F/\mathbb{Q}_p$, and that $C$ is a field of characteristic $p$. We prove that the group $\mathbf{G}(F)$ admits an irreducible admissible supercuspidal, or equivalently ...
