Pulmonary Complications in Connective Tissue Disease‐Associated Interstitial Lung Disease

open access: yesThe Clinical Respiratory Journal, Volume 19, Issue 8, August 2025.
It is a challenge to distinguish and manage pulmonary complications associated with connective tissue disease‐associated interstitial lung disease, such as acute exacerbation, drug‐induced pulmonary toxicity, nonspecific infection and tuberculosis. Similar clinical manifestations and the diversity of radiological patterns raise controversies and force ...

Basis function compression for field probe monitoring

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 93, Issue 6, Page 2414-2433, June 2025.
Abstract Purpose Field monitoring using field probes allows for accurate measurement of magnetic field perturbations, such as from eddy currents, during MRI scanning. However, errors may result when the spatial variation of the fields is not well‐described by the conventionally used spherical harmonics model that has the maximum order constrained by ...

5-azacytidine affects triticale microspore embryogenesis and is associated with modulation of reactive oxygen species, cysteine protease profiles, and programmed cell death

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Background In theory, microspore embryogenesis (ME) is the most efficient method for producing doubled haploids, however the actual effectiveness of this process is strongly genotype dependent. Here, we analysed how treatment with 5 µM 5-azacytidine (AC)

The Quest for Explicit Formulas for Conformal Mappings onto the Unit Disc: Mertens, Schwarz, and Christoffel

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 25, Issue 2, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Conformal mappings, which are bijective and complex differentiable, transfer potential functions from one domain in the complex number plane to another. Therefore, it is also interesting for applications if there is a conformal mapping from a given domain to a domain on which the potential functions can be easily described, in particular, the ...

To Understand the Elusive: How to Avoid the Disappearance of the Black Grouse at the Edge of Its Continuous Range?

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2025.
Our study aimed to indicate the main environmental factors determining the occurrence of a species in a mountain refuge, on the southwestern border of this species' continuous range. Based on a comprehensive model containing data on land cover by vegetation, topography, and human disturbance, we assessed environmental factors that shape the probability
