Moments problem in Frechet spaces

Mathematical Notes, 1993
The author gives solvability conditions of moment problems for an arbitrary sequence of linear continuous functionals over Fréchet spaces. As is known many theorems in analysis state the solvability conditions for numerous moment problems. The author notes that the solvability problem is equivalent to the fact that the sequence of linear functionals is

On non-archimedean Frechet spaces with nuclear Kothe spaces

open access: yes, 2010
Assume that K is a complete non-archimedean valued field. We prove that every Frechet-Montel space over K which is not of finite type has a nuclear Kothe quotient.

Quotient Spaces Without Bases in Nuclear Frechet Spaces

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1978
The first example of a nuclear Fréchet space without a basis was given by B. S. Mitiagin and N. M. Zobin [9; 10]. The question of existence of subspaces without bases in nuclear Fréchet spaces was recently settled in papers by P. Djakov and B. S. Mitiagin [2] and Ed Dubinsky [5]. In this paper we consider the analogous question for quotient spaces.

Interpolation in Separable Frechet Spaces with Applications to Spaces of Analytic Functions

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1975
Let E be a separable Fréchet space, and let E* be its topological dual space. We recall that a Fréchet space is, by definition, a complete metrizable locally convex topological vector space. A sequence {Ln} of continuous linear functional is said to be interpolating if for every sequence {An} of complex numbers, there exists an ƒ ∈ E such that Ln(ƒ ...

Semigroups on Frechet spaces and equations with infinite delays

open access: yesProceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences: Mathematical Sciences, 2007
In this paper, we show existence and uniqueness of a solution to a functional differential equation with infinite delay. We choose an appropriate Frechet space so as to cover a large class of functions to be used as initial functions to obtain existence ...

Some problems on bases in Banach and frechet spaces

Israel Journal of Mathematics, 1964
This paper is a revised version of the author’s report during the Symposium “On Series and Geometry in Linear Spaces” held at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, March 16–24, 1964. Some problems of the existence (for a given Frechet space) of closed linear subspaces and quotient spaces with bases are discussed.

The existence of maximal elements and equilibria in Frechet spaces

Publicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 1996
Summary: We first give some existence theorems of maximal elements of condensing correspondences. Then two existence theorems of equilibria of abstract economies (resp., generalized games) are derived by maximal element theorems in Frechet spaces. Finally, a fixed point theorem is proved which improves the corresponding results of Barbolla, Gale and ...

Nuclear Köthe Quotients of Frechet Spaces

1989
Throughout we let (math)(F) denote a base of neighborhoods of a locally convex space (les) F which consists of absolutely convex and closed sets. In this work every Kothe space will be assumed to admit a continuous norm.
