Fredholm Property of the Operator AR
1993We obtain the closedness of the realization A R , an explicit formula for the adjoint boundary value problem, the standard Fredholm properties of A R , and various relations between its index and the indices of the related mapping pair and boundary integral in the general (global elliptic) case as well as in the local elliptic case.

Pseudodifferential Operators and Their Fredholm Properties
2010Pseudodifferential operators are a natural extension of linear integral and partial differential operators. The theory of such operators grew out of the study of singular integral operators by Giraud, Mikhlin, Calderon and Zygmund, among others. It developed rapidly after 1965 with the systematic studies of Kohn and Nirenberg [114], Hormander, and ...

Fredholm properties of multivariate refinement equations
Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2007AbstractThe solvability of multivariate refinement equations in the Hilbert space L2(ℝs) is studied. It is shown that the set of all L2‐solutions of such equations either consists of the trivial solution only or it contains a subspace isomorphic to a space L∞(SM) where SM is a subset of ℝs with a positive Lebesgue measure.

On Fredholm Properties of a Class of Hankel Operators
Mathematische Nachrichten, 2000The authors study Fredholm properties of operators of the form \[ K_{a}\varphi=\lambda\varphi-P_{+}aP_{-}Q\varphi\tag{1} \] in weighted \(L_{p}\)-space on the real axis, where \(P_{\pm}=1/2(I\pm S)\), \(S\) is the standard operator of singular integration, \(a\) is a piecewise continuous function and \((Q\varphi)(x)=\varphi(-x)\).

On some properties of the Fredholm‐type integral algebraic equations
Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2020In this paper, we study systems of Fredholm integral equations with a singular matrix multiplying the leading part. We address the solvability issues of such systems with separable kernels and, similarly to differential‐algebraic and integral algebraic equations, introduce the notion of index.

Fredholm Properties of Band Matrices and Dichotomy
1988The invertibility and Fredholm properties of a regular block band matrix are described in terms of the dichotomy of the companion sequence.

On the Fredholm property of a manifold
Russian Mathematical Surveys, 1992Summary: The aim of this note is to prove the Fredholm property for certain manifolds that arise naturally in problems of the theory of control by systems of constant rank.
