On the Thermodynamics of Particles Obeying Monotone Statistics [PDF]
The aim of the present paper is to provide a preliminary investigation of the thermodynamics of particles obeying monotone statistics. To render the potential physical applications realistic, we propose a modified scheme called block-monotone, based on a

An Introduction to Spectral Theory of Bounded Linear Operators in Intuitionistic Fuzzy Pseudo Normed Linear Space [PDF]
In this paper, focus is on the study of spectrum and the spectral properties of bounded linear operators in intuitionistic fuzzy pseudo normed linear spaces(IFPNLS).

A note on Hausdorff convergence of pseudospectra [PDF]
For a bounded linear operator on a Banach space, we study approximation of the spectrum and pseudospectra in the Hausdorff distance. We give sufficient and necessary conditions in terms of pointwise convergence of appropriate spectral quantities.

Resolving the Peak of the Black Hole Mass Spectrum
Abstract Gravitational-wave (GW) detections of binary black hole (BH) mergers have begun to sample the cosmic BH mass distribution. The evolution of single stellar cores predicts a gap in the BH mass distribution due to pair-instability supernovae (PISNe).

Spatially Resolved Spectrum of the Vela PWN [PDF]
A series of 13 Chandra observations has provided the deepest images of the Vela PWN yet available. In addition to the fine structure of the inner PWN features, a much larger and fainter asymmetric X-ray nebula emerges in the summed images. The shape of this outer PWN is similar to that of the radio PWN.

We define the notion of a point interaction for general non-self-adjoint elliptic operators in planar domains. We show that such operators can be approximated in a geometric way by cutting out a small cavity around the point, at which the interaction is ...

In this paper we consider singular Sturm–Liouville problems with eigenparameter dependent boundary conditions and two singular endpoints. The spectrum of such problems can be approximated by those of the inherited restriction operators constructed.

Spatial tomography of light resolved in time, spectrum, and polarization
AbstractMeasuring polarisation, spectrum, temporal dynamics, and spatial complex amplitude of optical beams is essential to studying phenomena in laser dynamics, telecommunications and nonlinear optics. Current characterisation techniques apply in limited contexts. Non-interferometric methods struggle to distinguish spatial phase, while phase-sensitive

Spatially Resolved Dynamic Eigenmode Spectrum of Co Rings [PDF]
The spatially resolved eigenmode spectrum of micrometer-sized Co ring elements has been determined by means of combined vector network analyzer ferromagnetic resonance and time resolved magneto-optic Kerr effect measurements. Up to 5 resonant eigenmodes were observed in the frequency range from 45 MHz to 20 GHz as a function of an external magnetic ...

The rotationally resolved infrared spectrum of TiO and its isotopologues [PDF]
In this study, we present the ro-vibrationally resolved gas-phase spectrum of the diatomic molecule TiO around 1000\,cm$^{-1}$. Molecules were produced in a laser ablation source by vaporizing a pure titanium sample in the atmosphere of gaseous nitrous oxide.
