Abstract Unsteady two-dimensional hydromagnetic free convective flow through a porous medium bounded by a vertical infinite plate is considered. Expressions for the velocity and temperature field are obtained. The influence of the various parameters entering into the problem on the velocity field are discussed.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates.
