Occurrence Rates of Exosatellites Orbiting 3–30 M Jup Hosts from 44 Spitzer Light Curves

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
We conduct a comprehensive search for transiting exomoons and exosatellites within 44 archival Spitzer light curves of 32 substellar worlds with estimated masses ranging between 3 and 30 M _Jup . This sample’s median host mass is 16 M _Jup , inclusive of

Tailored Reconstruction of Polycrystalline CuO Nanorods Promotes C─C Coupling in CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the polycrystallinity of CuO nanorods enables directional reconstruction into rod‐like structures that stabilize Cu(OH)2 and increase Cu+ ratios, while modulating interfacial water dynamics to enhance C─C coupling and boost C2+ product formation in CO2 electroreduction.

Encapsulating Zinc Powder in MXene/Silk Scaffolds with Zincophilic‐Hydrophobic Polymer for Flexible Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops flexible zinc‐ion batteries (FZIBs) using a zincophilic/hydrophobic polymer (thermoplastic polycarbonate‐based polyurethane, TPCU) to protect Zn powder anodes and MXene/Silk (MXS) as flexible current collectors. The designed TPCU‐ZnP@MXS structure enables uniform Zn deposition, yielding dendrite‐free anodes with stable cycling ...

SMaRT Stacking: A Methodology to Produce Optimally Layered EMI Shields with Maximal Green Index Using Fused Deposition Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shields consisting of polylactic acid (PLA) in layers with different concentrations of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) are produced using additive manufacturing. The permittivity function of layers with different filler concentrations is learned using data of homogeneous and randomly ordered shields.

A Deep Search for Exomoons around WISE 0855 with JWST

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is collecting time-series observations of many free-floating planets (FFPs) to study their weather, but these light curves provide ideal datasets for locating exomoons that transit FFPs during observations.

The Microlensing Planet Finder: Completing the Census of Extrasolar Planets in the Milky Way

open access: yes, 2004
The Microlensing Planet Finder (MPF) is a proposed Discovery mission that will complete the first census of extrasolar planets with sensitivity to planets like those in our own solar system.

Implementation of Drug‐Induced Rhabdomyolysis and Acute Kidney Injury in Microphysiological System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A modular Muscle–Kidney proximal tubule‐on‐a‐chip integrates 3D skeletal muscle and renal proximal tubule tissues to model drug‐induced rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury. The coculture system enables dynamic tissue interaction, functional contraction monitoring, and quantification of nephrotoxicity, revealing drug side effect‐induced metabolic ...

Limits on Planetary-mass Primordial Black Holes from the OGLE High-cadence Survey of the Magellanic Clouds

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Observations of the Galactic bulge revealed an excess of short-timescale gravitational microlensing events that are generally attributed to a large population of free-floating or wide-orbit exoplanets.

EUCLID : Dark Universe Probe and Microlensing planet Hunter

open access: yes, 2010
There is a remarkable synergy between requirements for Dark Energy probes by cosmic shear measurements and planet hunting by microlensing. Employing weak and strong gravitational lensing to trace and detect the distribution of matter on cosmic and ...
