Mars’ Background Free Oscillations [PDF]

open access: yesSpace Science Reviews, 2019
Observations and inversion of the eigenfrequencies of free oscillations constitute powerful tools to investigate the internal structure of a planet. On Mars, such free oscillations can be excited by atmospheric pressure and wind stresses from the Martian atmosphere, analogous to what occurs on Earth.

Survey on forced oscillations in power system

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2017
The oscillations in a power system can be categorized into free oscillations and forced oscillations. Many algorithms have been developed to estimate the modes of free oscillations in a power system.

Mixed forms of free oscillations of a rectangular CFCF-plate [PDF]

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики
Mixed (symmetrically/antisymmetric) forms of natural oscillations of a thin rectangular plate of constant thickness, in which two parallel sides are rigidly pinched, and the other two are free (CFCF plate, C — clamped, F — free), are studied.

Search for free neutron-antineutron oscillations

open access: yesZeitschrift für Physik C Particles and Fields, 1989
A search for free neutron-antineutron oscillations has been carried out at the Pavia Triga Mark II research reactor. A thin carbon target is crossed by a beam of thermal neutrons propagating in a 18.5 m long channel where the earth magnetic field is attenuated by a factor of 50. The total neutron current through the target is 3.2×10 10 n/s.

Determination of Parameters of Electronic Devices by the Method of Passive Radio-Sensor Technical Diagnostics

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2021
Introduction. Technical diagnostics (TD) as a nascent discipline is rapidly developing in the field of both software and hardware. Modern TD methods, such as vibrometry, thermal control, JTAG testing and optical control, either exhibit high inertia ...

FREE LONGITUDINAL VIBRATIONS OF A VERTICAL ROD WITH DISCRETE MASSES WITH DAMPING FORCES

open access: yesВестник Дагестанского государственного технического университета: Технические науки, 2019
Objectives. The longitudinal oscillations of a vertical rod of a continually discrete system with kinematic seismic disturbances in the form of a stationary random process are considered.Method. A method for determining the variance of the output process

Transition from stochastic to deterministic behavior in calcium oscillations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Simulation and modeling is becoming more and more important when studying complex biochemical systems. Most often, ordinary differential equations are employed for this purpose.

Long-period nutational-precessional motions of the instantaneous Earth rotation pole

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2020
The influence of the rotational regime on real long-period nutational-precessional motions of the instantaneous pole of the Earth’s rotation is considered. The solar magnetospheric (through changes in the angular velocity of rotation) mechanism of action

A numerical study of an inline oscillating cylinder in a free stream [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Simulations of a cylinder undergoing externally controlled sinusoidal oscillations in the free stream direction have been performed. The frequency of oscillation was kept equal to the vortex shedding frequency from a fixed cylinder, while the amplitude ...
