Design and analysis of cryogenic CO2 separation from a CO2‐rich mixture
We design and optimize the cryogenic separation process of a CO2 mixture gas and establish static process model using HYSYS simulation software. The appropriate design parameters of the device are obtained and the reasons for the change law are analyzed.

Prediction on onset conditions of alpha, beta, and gamma type free piston Stirling generators
This manuscript establishes thermal‐dynamic coupling models of different types of free‐piston Stirling generators and uses the Routh stability criterion to predict startup conditions. The proposed method is not only beneficial to understand the startup characteristics of the different types of Stirling generators but also plays a reference role in the ...

Modeling dynamics of the spacecraft power plant consisting of Stirling engine and external thermal circuit [PDF]
Modern space programs cover a wide range of missions, including both near-earth missions and those affecting areas of deep space. In the second case, power plants based on the conversion of thermal energy into electrical energy are often considered for ...

An analytical method is proposed to model the magnetic field distribution across a slotless tubular interior permanent magnet machine. The proposed model has both accuracy and low computational burden. Abstract An analytical method is proposed to model the magnetic field distribution across a slotless tubular interior permanent magnet machine. In order

Abstract At present, commercial geothermal power stations are mainly high‐temperature and medium‐temperature geothermal energy, while the large number of low‐temperature geothermal energy resources are rarely used for power generation applications. This paper proposes a new model for energy conversion in low‐temperature geothermal power systems.

Magnetic Bearings for Free-Piston Stirling Engines [PDF]
<div class="htmlview paragraph">This paper assesses the feasibility and efficacy of applying magnetic bearings to free-piston Stirling-cycle power conversion machinery currently being developed for long-term space missions. The study was performed for a 50-kWe Reference Stirling Space Power Converter (RSSPC) which currently uses hydrostatic gas ...

The present study experimentally investigates the performance of a power generator constituted by an unpressurized Stirling engine coupled with a new flat‐flame burner. The operative temperature differential of the Stirling engine is within the medium range (around 400 K or less). In this work, there are two types of the engine’s hot‐end‐plate designs,

The BRITICE‐CHRONO consortium of researchers undertook a dating programme to constrain the timing of advance, maximum extent and retreat of the British–Irish Ice Sheet between 31 000 and 15 000 years before present. The dating campaign across Ireland and Britain and their continental shelves, and across the North Sea included 1500 days of field ...
