Free-space optical components and systems can be fabricated using planar techniques such as pattern generation using an electron-beam writer, photolithography, reactive ion etching and thin film deposition. This allows to integrate several optical components such as lenses and beamsplitters on one side of a single substrate [1]; see Fig. 1.

Free loopspaces and equivariant classifying spaces
Archiv der Mathematik, 2001For \(\pi\) a discrete group, \(X\) a classifying space for \(\pi\), SO(2) the topological group of rotations of the plane about the origin and \({\mathcal C}_k\) the cyclic subgroup with \(k\) elements, \({\mathcal C}_k\subset \text{SO}(2)\), the author gives a group-theoretic description of the \({\mathcal C}_k\)-equivariant homotopy type of the path

A score function induced by a generative model of the data can provide a feature vector of a fixed dimension for each data sample. Data samples themselves may be of differing lengths (e.g., speech segments, or other sequence data), but as a score function is based on the properties of the data generation process, it produces a fixed-length vector in a ...
