An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

Coupled BEM and FEM in Dynamic Analysis of Tanks Filled with a Liquid

open access: yesМеханика машин, механизмов и материалов, 2013
In this paper the numerical procedure based on a coupling the finite element formulation and the boundary element method is developed for the forced vibration analysis of shells of revolution partially filled with the fluid. We obtained numerical results

Analysis of Monolithic and Sandwich Panels Subjected To Non-Uniform Thickness-Wise Boundary Conditions

open access: yesCurved and Layered Structures, 2016
The analysis of monolithic and sandwich plates is illustrated for those cases where the boundary conditions are not uniform along the thickness direction, and run at a given position along the thickness direction.

Natural Bone‐Derived Ceramic Scaffolds Functionalized with Chitosan‐Gold, Chitosan‐Magnesium, and Chitosan‐Zinc for Enhanced Antibacterial Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the development of antibacterial ceramic scaffolds derived from natural bovine bone. The bones were processed through sequential boiling and hydrogen peroxide treatment to remove organic matter, producing porous, mineral‐rich scaffolds.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Effect of Important Physical and Geometrical Parameters on the Dynamic Response of Thick Composite Plates with Smart Attached Mass [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2019
In this research, the effect of different structural parameters on the dynamic behaviour of a thick plate with a smart attached mass, which is a mass embedded with the Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) fibers were investigated.

Analysis of thin-walled beams with variable monosymmetric cross section by means of Legendre polynomials

open access: yesStudia Geotechnica et Mechanica, 2019
This article deals with the vibrations of a nonprismatic thin-walled beam with an open cross section and any geometrical parameters. The thin-walled beam model presented in this article was described using the membrane shell theory, whilst the equations ...

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Non-Destructive Testing for Evaluation of Young’s Modulus by Using Free Vibration Response of Composite Materials

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This article presents a non-destructive method, based on the response to free vibrations, which can be used with efficiency and reliability to determine the Young’s modulus of polymer composite materials reinforced with natural or synthetic fibers.
