Background and Purpose Src homology 3‐domain growth factor receptor‐bound 2‐like endophilin interacting protein 1 (SGIP1) interacts with cannabinoid CB1 receptors. SGIP1 is abundantly and principally expressed within the nervous system. SGIP1 and CB1 receptors co‐localize in axons and presynaptic boutons.

In Parkinson's disease (PD), astrocytes lose their vitamin‐A (VA) content leading to VA extraction from the liver and triggering liver fibrosis. VA intake will be directed toward VA‐deficient astrocytes and restore VA content in both the brain and liver.

Adult female C57BL/6 mice treated with 1 mg/kg i.p. CP55,940 (cannabinoid receptor agonist) displayed less anti‐nociception, and lower type 1 cannabinoid receptor (CB1R) in spine, in metestrus than estrus. No other measured responses to CP55,940 were different between metestrus and estrus.

The effect of pentadecapeptide BPC 157 on hippocampal ischemia/reperfusion injuries in rats
Pentadecapeptide BPC 157 is a novel mediator of Roberts cytoprotection and has bidirectional effects on the gut‐brain axis. BPC 157 effectively ameliorated ischemia/reperfusion injuries and as such is a possible new therapeutic solution in ischemic/reperfusion injuries.
