Use of antiemetics in early pregnancy 2012–2022: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy impact quality of life, yet many pregnant women feel dismissed by healthcare professionals, despite the safety of first‐line antiemetic treatments for both mother and fetus. Therefore, this study aims to describe the prevalence of patient‐reported antiemetic use in early pregnancy in Copenhagen, Denmark, the changes

Optical frequency metrology of an iodine-stabilized He-Ne laser using the frequency comb of a quantum-interference-stabilized mode-locked laser

open access: yes, 2007
We perform optical frequency metrology of an iodine-stabilized He-Ne laser using a mode-locked Ti: sapphire laser frequency comb that is stabilized using quantum interference of photocurrents in a semiconductor.

Effective methods for increasing levels of political self‐efficacy for girls and disadvantaged students in England

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract This study addresses the gap in rigorous evaluation of inclusive Citizenship Education methods in reducing gender and socioeconomic inequalities in political self‐efficacy. This article tests the effectiveness of two pedagogical approaches: counter‐narratives and think‐pair‐share.

Micro-resonator frequency comb source based time domain Hilbert transform

open access: yes, 2016
We demonstrate a temporal Hilbert transformer based on an integrated microresonator optical frequency comb source, and perform a temporal transform of a Gaussian pulse with a fullwidth half maximum of 0.12ns. © OSA 2016.

Transfersomes with core and surface‐loaded NF‐κB p65 siRNA for enhanced transdermal transfection and effective treatment of psoriasis

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
TCPL, a transfersome with Tween 80 and PEI, enables efficient transdermal siNF‐κB delivery, resolving PEI's toxicity issue. It promotes lysosomal escape and effective transfection, silences NF‐κB, modulates immunity, and inhibits angiogenesis, alleviating psoriasis. With good biocompatibility, TCPL holds strong clinical translation potential. Schematic

Frequency Comb Effect on Chaos in Semiconductor Lasers, a Bifurcation Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optics
This study investigates the effects of optical frequency comb injection on the chaotic dynamics of semiconductor lasers through a bifurcation analysis. By examining the behavior of semiconductor lasers under different comb parameters (i.e., the number of

Frequency comb transferred by surface plasmon resonance

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Combining frequency combs and plasmonics promises highly precise timing and frequency standards in nanoscale devices. Here, the authors experimentally transfer a frequency comb to surface plasmons and then return it to its original comb form with little ...

Loss, persistence and reversal of phenotypic traits

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The irreversibility of complex trait loss has long been a tenet of evolutionary biology. However, this idea is increasingly at odds with the numerous documented exceptions across the Tree of Life. We synthesise this growing body of evidence across a diverse array of taxa and traits, exploring the evolutionary conditions that enable ...

Symbolic or Substantive Action: Intent, Effort, and Results

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Many firms have made ambitious climate pledges since the Paris Agreement of 2015. These pledges may be symbolic or substantive, but the literature is fragmented in defining these two terms. We propose a conceptual framework with three frames to delineate symbolic from substantive action: Intent—underlying motivations for engaging in climate ...

Optomechanical frequency combs

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2018
We study the formation of frequency combs in a single-mode optomechanical cavity. The comb is composed of equidistant spectral lines centered at the pump laser frequency and located at different harmonics of the mechanical resonator.
