Geolocation a known‐altitude moving source by TDOA and FDOA measurements

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 58, Issue 13, Page 514-516, June 2022., 2022
Abstract Source altitude information, if known or can be measured by an altimeter, can greatly improve localisation performance. In this letter, a novel algebraic solution for known‐altitude moving source geolocation using time difference of arrival and frequency difference of arrival measurements is developed.

Underwater source localization using time difference of arrival and frequency difference of arrival measurements based on an improved invasive weed optimization algorithm

open access: yesIET Signal Processing, Volume 16, Issue 3, Page 299-309, May 2022., 2022
Abstract In this study, we propose an underwater localization method based on an improved invasive weed optimization algorithm to accurately locate moving sources in underwater sensor networks. First, the Lévy flight model is introduced into the invasive weed optimization algorithm to enhance its global search ability and avoid falling into local ...

Single‐step geolocation for a non‐circular source in the presence of satellite orbit perturbations

open access: yesIET Signal Processing, Volume 16, Issue 2, Page 170-200, April 2022., 2022
Abstract This study addresses the problem of geolocating a strictly non‐circular source on the surface of Earth by a cluster of passive satellites. The known satellite positions and velocities are subject to random errors. The authors propose a single‐step satellite geolocation algorithm that directly localises the transmitter from sensor outputs using

An Efficient Algebraic Solution for Moving Source Localization from Quadruple Hybrid Measurements

open access: yesChinese Journal of Electronics, Volume 31, Issue 2, Page 255-265, March 2022., 2022
This paper deals with the 3‐D moving source localization using time difference of arrival (TDOA), frequency difference of arrival (FDOA), angle of arrival (AOA) and AOA rate measurements, gathered from a set of spatially distributed receivers. The TDOA, FDOA, AOA and AOA rate measurement equations were firstly established according to the space ...

An effective localization algorithm for moving sources

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2021
By utilizing the time difference of arrival (TDOA), the frequency difference of arrival (FDOA), and the differential Doppler rate (DDR) measurements from sensors, this paper proposes an effective moving source localization algorithm with closed solutions.
