Wind Shear Estimation by Frequency-Shaped Optimal Estimator
1983 American Control Conference, 1983Summary: This paper presents a formulation of the frequency-shaped optimal estimator and investigates the role of the measurement noise shaping function in this estimator. This shaping function creates transmission zeros and affects the singular values of the estimator transfer matrix, which can be used to improve control system robustness.

Study on IIR Adaptive Frequency Estimator in the Multi-Frequency Estimation
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Propose a use of IIR adaptive frequency estimator to achieve multi-frequency estimation algorithm. Analysis IIR filter characteristics, indicating that the second-order IIR model has a single peak characteristics, to achieve stable convergence; while the higher-order IIR model polymorphic, so the need for the estimated parameters are initialized.

Nonparametric estimation of instantaneous frequency
IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1997Summary: The local polynomial approximation of time-varying phase is used in order to estimate the instantaneous frequency and its derivatives for a complex-valued harmonic signal given by discrete-time observations with a noise. The considered estimators are high-order nonparametric generalizations of the short-time Fourier transform and the Wigner ...

Two-voice fundamental frequency estimation
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2002An algorithm is presented that estimates the fundamental frequencies of two concurrent voices or instruments. The algorithm models each voice as a periodic function of time, and jointly estimates both periods by cancellation according to a previously proposed method [de Cheveigné and Kawahara, Speech Commun. 27, 175–185 (1999)].

Among the many outstanding contributions which Ted Hannan made to Time Series Analysis his interest in the problem of detecting and estimating the frequencies of periodic components was a recurrent theme. He first discussed this topic in his early monograph [Han60], and he continued his studies throughout his research career, his final papers appearing
