Analysis of protocol sequences for slow frequency hopping

Wireless Networks, 1998
Decoding error probability bounds are derived for slow frequency hopping schemes. For unslotted asynchronous multiple access random protocol sequences with interleaved codes are considered. Nonrandom constructions of protocol sequences with good cyclic correlation properties are given.

Optimal Frequency Hopping Sequences: A Combinatorial Approach

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2004
Frequency hopping multiple access (FHMA) spread-spectrum communication systems employing multiple frequency-shift keying (MFSK) as data modulation technique are investigated from a combinatorial approach. A correspondence between optimal frequency hopping (FH) sequences and partition-type difference packings is first established.

Frequency hopping sequences with optimal partial autocorrelation property

International Symposium onInformation Theory, 2004. ISIT 2004. Proceedings., 2004
We characterize pk-ary (p prime, k integer) generalized m-sequences and generalized GMW sequences of period p2k-1 over a residue class ring R=GF(p)[xi]/(xik) with the "strictly" optimal partial Hamming autocorrelation function (HAF)

A novel family of frequency hopping sequences for multi-hop bluetooth networks

IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 2003
The Bluetooth technology is expected to be of the fastest growing which enable consumer electronic devices to connect and communicate via short-range links. The Bluetooth radio operates on frequency hopping over the 2.4 GHz band at 1600 hops/s. In this paper, a novel family of frequency hopping sequences based on 3DES iterated block cipher is proposed ...

Optimal Frequency-Hopping Sequence Sets Based on Cyclotomy

International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2016
In this paper, a kind of generalized cyclotomy with respect to the square of a prime is presented and the properties of the corresponding generalized cyclotomic numbers are investigated. Based on the generalized cyclotomy, a class of frequency-hopping sequence (FHS) set is constructed. By means of some basic properties of the generalized cyclotomy, we

Improved Singleton Bound on Frequency Hopping Sequences

2014
In this paper, a new bound on the frequency hopping (FH) sequences with respect to the size of the frequency slot set, the sequence length, the family size, and the maximum periodic Hamming correlation is established. The new bound is tighter than the Singleton bounds on the FH sequences derived by Ding et al. (2009) and Yang et al.

On frequency-hop multiple access sequence

1st International Conference on Universal Personal Communications - ICUPC '92 Proceedings, 2003
The design of frequency-hop spread spectrum multiple access sequences is discussed. In particular, it is pointed out that the minimum number of pairwise hits between sequences does not necessarily guarantee good sequences in terms of mutual interference between multiple users.

A generalized hyperbolic frequency hopping sequences

Proceedings of 2004 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communication Systems, 2004. ISPACS 2004., 2005
We present the problem of constructing frequency hopping (FH) sequences. The new family of FH sequences we have constructed is called generalized hyperbolic FH sequences. The previous hyperbolic FH sequences, derived by S.V. Maric and E.I. Titlebaum (see IEEE Trans. Commun., vol.40, no.9, p.1442-7, 1992), and extended hyperbolic hopping, derived by M.S.

Theoretical bound on no hit zone of frequency hopping sequences

Proceedings of the Fifth International Workshop on Signal Design and Its Applications in Communications, 2011
Frequency-hopping (FH) sequences with no hit zone (NHZ) can be employed in quasi-synchronous FH code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems to eliminate multiple-access interference. In this paper, a new theoretical bound on NHZ of FH sequences is derived. Numerical results show that the new bound is tighter than the existing bounds.
