Reconfigurable optical frequency comb and its applications

2015 17th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2015
The concept of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) has revolutionized the field of optical communications. However, the immense demand for bandwidth shows no sign of abating and is pushing service providers to deploy communication networks with increased capacity.

Frequency reconfigurable antenna using PIN diodes

2014 Twentieth National Conference on Communications (NCC), 2014
A compact frequency reconfigurable double slot antenna for wireless communication is presented. The proposed antenna consists of double slot with six RF PIN diodes placed at different position on the ground plane to achieve frequency reconfigurability. Based on the switching state of the PIN diode the antenna is capable of operating at eleven different

Frequency reconfigurable antenna for DVB‐H applications

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2011
AbstractThis article presents a new reconfigurable DVB‐H antenna for a portable TV or a tablet PC device. The antenna consists in a folded monopole loaded by a diode varactor combined with an open stub used to match the antenna. Design procedure and equivalent model are presented.

PIFA with reconfigurable frequency bandwidth

2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015
This paper presents a novel Planar Inverted F-Antenna (PIFA) having a reconfigurable frequency operating bandwidth. The physical mechanism for altering the bandwidth is by varying the width of the feedline. This is achieved using a pair of microwave switches. The frequency bandwidth can be reconfigured between 3 discrete values.

Frequency-Reconfigurable Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2013
A coplanar waveguide (CPW) reconfigurable dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented and investigated. The DRA is capable of frequency tuning at three different frequency bands between 3.45 and 6.77 GHz. The overall size of the antenna is 50 × 57 mm2. The dielectric material is a rectangular block of ceramic with a permittivity of 15. Two switches,

A Frequency- and Polarization-Reconfigurable Circular Cavity Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2017
The principle and experimental validation of a frequency- and polarization-reconfigurable antenna using switching PIN diodes is presented in this letter. The antenna is based on a center-fed circular cavity with switchable shorting vias along its outer edge.

A frequency reconfigurable antenna based on digital microfluidics

Lab on a Chip, 2013
We present a novel antenna reconfiguration mechanism relying on electrowetting based digital microfluidics to implement a frequency reconfigurable antenna operating in the X-band. The antenna built on a quartz substrate (εr = 3.9, tan δ = 0.0002) is a coplanar waveguide fed annular slot antenna, which is monolithically integrated with a microfluidic ...

On Deadlock Frequency during Dynamic Reconfiguration in NOWs

2001
NOWs executing multimedia and real-time applications need to handle dynamic changes in their irregular topologies. This may be carried out in two ways: statically and dynamically. In the former, user traffic is stopped, causing latencies to increase dramatically.

A Novel Differential Dipoles Frequency Reconfigurable Antenna

2018
A Novel Differential Dipoles Frequency Reconfigurable Antenna is proposed in this letter. The antenna consists of a pair of half-wave dipoles which are connected in parallel through a coplanar stripline, and a rectangular ground with a “H” shape slot on the center and four small rectangular cuts on four angles.
