Frequency Regulation by Electric Vehicle

2018 International Conference on Current Trends towards Converging Technologies (ICCTCT), 2018
Electric vehicles (EVs), connected to the grid, acts as a distributed load or distributed storage. Integration of EVs into microgrid is able to provide many services like ancillary services, active power control, reactive power compensation and specially frequency regulation.

Power reserve control with real-time iterative estimation for PV system participation in frequency regulation

, 2021
Due to the increasing penetration of photovoltaic (PV) systems, PV plants are required to provide a full range of ancillary services to power grids, including frequency support services, which must maintain a certain power reserve.

Regulator Design in the Frequency Domain

2018
A closed-loop control system has to meet several prescribed quality specifications, as stability, static accuracy, dynamical behavior, noise suppression, insensitivity to parameter changes, etc. These specifications can be formulated in the time and in the frequency domain.

Frequency linked pricing as an instrument for frequency regulation in deregulated electricity markets

2003 IEEE Power Engineering Society General Meeting (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37491), 2004
This paper presents the design of an automatic balance service market that can act as an effective tool for system frequency control in deregulated power systems. The proposed scheme combines the presently existing manual balancing mechanism, prevailing in some countries, with the conventional automatic generation control, within a bid-based market ...

Frequency encoding in renal blood flow regulation

American Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology, 2005
With a model of renal blood flow regulation, we examined consequences of tubuloglomerular feedback (TGF) coupling to the myogenic mechanism via voltage-gated Ca channels. The model reproduces the characteristic oscillations of the two mechanisms and predicts frequency and amplitude modulation of the myogenic oscillation by TGF.

Distributed Secondary Control for Active Power Sharing and Frequency Regulation in Islanded Microgrids Using an Event-Triggered Communication Mechanism

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, 2019
This paper is concerned with active power sharing and frequency regulation in an islanded microgrid under event-triggered communication. A distributed secondary control scheme with a sampled-data-based event-triggered communication mechanism is proposed ...

Frequency modulated switching regulator

1979 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1979
A novel switching regulator power supply is described which uses frequency modulation to accomplish duty factor control. The circuit resembles a choke-fed dc-dc converter. A distinguishing feature is that the output transformer is designed purposely to saturate.

A robust frequency compensation scheme for LDO regulators

2002 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37353), 2003
In the frequency compensation scheme of low drop out (LDO) voltage regulators, a zero generated by the series combination of load capacitor and its electro static resistance (ESR) plays an important role. This frequency compensation tends to be inefficient, as one has to take into consideration a range of specified values for load capacitor and R/sub ...
