A novel frequency‐selective surface, CHIRO‐FSS
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1995AbstractA new frequency‐selective surface (FSS), chiro‐FSS, consisting of an infinite, periodic array of conducting elements printed on an isotropic chiral slab is proposed and analyzed. For the purpose of illustrating the properties of the chiro‐FSS, the reflection characteristics of a two‐dimensional array of crossed dipoles and circular rings backed

A novel dual-band frequency selective surface (FSS)
2009 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference, 2009A single-layer frequency selective surface (FSS) is developed with electrically small elements and two tunable passbands for WLAN application. Each FSS unit consists of a loop wire in the top metal layer and its complementary etched in the bottom metal layer, which can provide two transmission poles separated by a transmission zero.

CLD-Based Automatic Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) Inverse Design
This work presents a deep learning-based method for the inverse design of stopband frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) with the CNN-LSTM-DNN (CLD) model. With the designed model, we can directly obtain the structure geometric parameters by inputting the CLD model with stopband FSS’s Sparameters. Two cases of Jerusalem stopband FSS validate the proposed

Millimeter wave QR based frequency selective surface (FSS)
In this work, a mmWave - QR based Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) for IoT Sensing Applications with a variety of configuration is proposed. The QR based FSS has a variety of resonant values and can be used as a filter due to very small band stop. Discovered the following FSS with unique S11 characteristics that can be used for various applications. M

Collision Detection by Use of Frequency Selective Surface (FSS)
2020 4th International Conference on Electronics, Communication and Aerospace Technology (ICECA), 2020Daily mortality due to motor vehicle accidents is a cause of concern as there is a shift from manually driven automobiles to completely autonomous driving vehicles. Collision between two or more vehicles is one of the most common accident that occurs every day.

On a polarization‐independent frequency‐selective surface (FSS)
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2004AbstractThe frequency‐selective property of an array of rectangular microstrip elements that are resonant at a single frequency and show polarization independency is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. Investigation of the conventional frequency‐selective surface (FSS) of an array of rectangular microstrip patches resonant at a single ...

Fabrication of fabric based Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS)
The 8th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2014), 2014Three examples of Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) realized from conducting yarns and bare copper wire on textiles are considered. The FSS arrays are produced using the techniques of weaving, handlooming, and embroidery. There is good agreement between predicted and measured transmission responses of a rectangular loop FSS structure, and for ...

Design of Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) Printed Antennas
2020Frequency selective surface (FSS) is a type of spatial filter, which offer transmission and reflection characteristics by modifying the electromagnetic incident wave striking its surface. This chapter presents the basic concepts and principle of operation of the FSS.

Towards Conformal Woven Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS)
2015 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2015One outstanding feature of a conformai array or periodic surface is its ability to conform to a surface whilst maintaining the operational electromagnetic characteristics. A simple textile Frequency Selective Surface (FSS), fabricated using weaving technique has been evaluated in terms of its transmission properties on a flat surface and curved ...
