Stability in phonational frequency range

Journal of Communication Disorders, 1989
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the stability of total phonational frequency range, and the stability of the elements from which it is calculated--lowest fundamental frequency and highest fundamental frequency--both within a single day and over a prolonged period.

Variable-Frequency Bridge-Type Frequency-Stabilized Oscillators

Proceedings of the IRE, 1943
Results are given of a theoretical and experimental investigation into two types of bridge-stabilized oscillators incorporating a thermal device for amplitude control. One circuit employs only resistances and capacitances in the frequency-determining network and consequently is useful for low-frequency operation.

Oscillator Frequency Stability

1978
The term frequency stability is a generic term which means a variety of things to different people depending on their individual interests. In its broadest concept, it means the degree of constancy of the frequency of an oscillator under a particular set of conditions.

Characterization of frequency stability: frequency-domain estimation of stability measures

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1991
The author focuses on the frequency domain approach, which provides a complete characterization of frequency. The standard characterization of frequency stability in the frequency domain is the spectral density function (SDF). The author describes SDFs that model sampled frequency stability data and that are related to the SDFs of the standard ...

Frequency dependence and stability

Mathematical Biosciences, 1976
Abstract The use of difference equations is suggested for simulating frequency-dependent changes in gene frequencies. Our model shows a good fit to published cases of populations in which gene frequencies reached stable equilibrium. However, in the same deterministic model, slight changes in the value of some parameters can lead to cyclic or chaotic ...

Optogalvanic Laser Frequency Stabilization

1986
The CO2 laser radiation field intensity is large enough and when is varied it introduces significant changes in the laser plasma microscopic parameters such as discharge sidelight intensity, plasma impedance and gas temperature. From among these parameters, a distinct interest is given to plasma impedance, because it is possible to establish a direct ...

Stabilizing the low frequencies

The Leading Edge, 2007
Acoustic and elastic impedance sections have two main uses. Firstly, they “look more like geology” than traditional reflectivity data, and enable us to better communicate the subsurface images to our non-geoscientist colleagues (e.g., reservoir engineers and drillers).

A Stabilized Frequency Divider

Proceedings of the IRE, 1941
A method is described for stabilizing the frequency of a relaxation oscillator to any required degree. The stabilized oscillator may be synchronized with a high-order submultiple of a control frequency without any possibility of synchronization at any other submultiple, even if the operating conditions vary widely; the maintenance of synchronization ...
