3D CT Anatomy and Morphology of the Appendicular Skeleton of European Pond Turtle (Emys orbicularis)

This study has been designed to assess the anatomical features of the skeletal system in this species and draw comparisons with other turtle species. CT‐Scan Machine and Micro CT‐Scan Machine were used for this study. Gross anatomical studies were performed on prepared bones using the method of using insects.

Flowcytometric and Allozymic Studies on the Korean Dandelion (Taraxacum, Asteraceae), With Special Reference to the Hybrid Origin of Taraxacum coreanum Nakai

We found that the Korean tetraploid Taraxacum coreanum (Co) shows fixed heterozygosity at two dimeric enzyme loci, sod‐1 (aaab) and mdh‐1 (bddd). Allele‐specific comparisons indicate that sod‐1 ‘a’ and mdh‐1 ‘d’ are characteristic of the triploid T. mongolicum (Mo) whereas the ‘b’ alleles at both loci match Korean diploids (e.g., T. hallaisanense, Ha).
