Fresnel Integral Computation Techniques [PDF]
This work is an extension of previous work by Alazah et al. [M. Alazah, S. N. Chandler-Wilde, and S. La Porte, Numerische Mathematik, 128(4):635-661, 2014]. We split the computation of the Fresnel Integrals into 3 cases: a truncated Taylor series, modified trapezoid rule and an asymptotic expansion for small, medium and large arguments respectively ...

Equivalent functions for the Fresnel integral
Fresnel integral is modeled with three equivalent functions. The first function is derived by considering the sum of the first term of the Fresnel integral's asymptotic expansion {F(x)} and an exponential function which approaches to infinity at the zero of the Fresnel function's argument and has the properties of a unit step function.

Chebyshev Approximations for the Fresnel Integrals [PDF]
Rational Chebyshev approimations have been computed for the Fresnel integrals C ( x ) C(x) and S ( x ) S(x) for arguments in the intervals [ 0. , 1.2 ] [0.,1.2] and [ 1.2 ,

Rational approximations for the Fresnel integrals [PDF]
A class of simple rational polynomial approximations for the Fresnel integrals is given with maximum errors from 1.7 × 10 − 3 1.7 \times {10^{ - 3}} down to 4 × 10

Validation of Fresnel–Kirchhoff Integral Method for the Study of Volume Dielectric Bodies
In this work, we test a nondestructive optical method based on the Fresnel–Kirchhoff integral, which could be applied to different fields of engineering, such as detection of small cracks in structures, determination of dimensions for small components ...

Propagation Properties of an Astigmatic Cos-Gaussian Beam through Turbulent Atmosphere [PDF]
We use the extended Huygens-Fresnel integral to investigate the propagation properties of a cos-Gaussian beam (cosGB) with astigmatism in atmospheric turbulence.
