Ray tracing through Fresnel zone plate.

open access: yesJournal of the Spectroscopical Society of Japan, 1987
Simple equations for tracing rays through the Fresnel zone plate have been derived. The spot diagram constructed by means of the ray tracing shows an appearance of imagery of the Fresnel zone plate as a focusing element. The spot diagram can be obtained not only for the real images but also for the imaginary images.

Material Modification of Borofloat 33 During Scanning‐Based Microforming Using Femtosecond Laser Pulses

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 14, 10 April 2026.
Possibilities for ablation‐free microforming of borosilicate glass using ultrashort laser pulses are presented. Depending on the laser parameters and scanning strategy, surface structures with profile heights of up to 20 µm could be produced. The work provides a comprehensive experimental and analytical characterization of the microforming process ...

Wood zone plate fishnet metalens

open access: yesEPJ Applied Metamaterials, 2015
Fresnel-zone plate lenses provide focusing performance while having low profile. Unfortunately, they usually display higher reflection losses than conventional dielectric lenses.

Implementation and Verification of Fresnel Zone Plate Patterns Designed by Optimization of Surface Phase [PDF]

open access: yes한국정밀공학회지
In this study, we present a numerical simulation approach for designing Fresnel zone plate (FZP) patterns. By optimizing surface phase parameters using desired merit functions in ray-tracing software, the obtained surface phase was converted into an FZP ...

Absorption‐Dominant Electromagnetic Interference Shielding of Ti3C2Tx MXene‐Coated and Fe3O4‐Integrated TPMS Composites with Coupled Gradient Conductivity and Size‐Graded Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 22, 17 April 2026.
A functionally driven variable‐cell size and gradient‐conductive coated TPMS structure was developed. Accordingly, stepwise longitudinal gradient impedance was realized, achieving absorption‐dominant EMI shielding (absorptivity≈0.85) with an EMI SET of ≈ 59 dB, for 10 mm‐thick composites. Further increasing the thickness of composites to 20 mm achieved

Takagi-Taupin Description of X-ray Dynamical Diffraction from Diffractive Optics with Large Numerical Aperture

open access: yes, 2007
We present a formalism of x-ray dynamical diffraction from volume diffractive optics with large numerical aperture and high aspect ratio, in an analogy to the Takagi-Taupin equations for strained single crystals.

Development and optimization of a “water window” microscope based on a gas-puff target laser-produced plasma source

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
A laser-plasma double stream gas-puff target source coupled with Fresnel zone plate (FZP) optics, operating at He-like nitrogen spectral line λ=2.88nm, is capable of acquire complementary information in respect to optical and electron microscopy ...

Multiple-wave radial shearing interferometer based on a Fresnel zone plate.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2018
A compact multiple-wave radial shearing interferometer (MWRSI) with strong adaptability, which is based on a Fresnel zone plate (FZP), is proposed. The nominally plane beam under test passes through the FZP and diffracts into multiple orders, including ...
