Thickness‐Gradient Liquid Metal Connectors for Seamless Electrophysiological Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thickness‐gradient liquid metal interfaces with elastomeric substrates enable seamless integration between ultrathin skin‐conformal electrodes and external interconnects. The mechanically compliant connector reduces interfacial mismatch and supports stable ECG/EMG monitoring under bending and motion.

Co‐activation of Selective Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor Subtypes Is Required for Neuroprotection against Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Beta‐amyloid peptide (Aβ)‐induced suppression of hippocampal GABAergic interneuron activity drives hyperexcitability, amyloid pathology, and cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease (AD), suggesting that enhancing hippocampal inhibition may be protective.

Tracking CDK1 Dynamics With a Novel Biosensor Mouse and Clinical Cohorts to Predict CDK4/6 Inhibitor Sensitivity in ER+ Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 1 activity is a dynamic marker of treatment response in estrogen receptor positive breast cancer. Patient cohorts reveal CDK1 activity increases during progression to invasive disease, where high expression correlates with poor survival. Using a novel Cdk1 biosensor mouse alongside in vitro models, we demonstrate that CDK1

Cannabinoid CB1 Receptor in Nociceptors Mediates Postoperative Analgesia via ASIC3 Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CB1R and ASIC3 are co‐expressed in CGRP+ nociceptors of mouse DRG. Plantar incision triggers an upregulation of ASIC3 and activation of ASIC3+ neurons, driving mechanical allodynia. CB1R activation suppresses ASIC3 function and downstream ERK1/2 phosphorylation, thereby braking nociceptive signaling and accelerating pain resolution.

Innovative Approach Reveals How Receptors Control G Protein State Equilibria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using conformational specific trFRET biosensors of the Gi protein (depicted at the bottom), the authors show that receptor activation can not only release GDP from the inactive G protein, but can also release GTP from the activated G protein, leading to the reformation of the RG ternary complex.
