Advances in Double‐Stranded DNA Targeting Technologies

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Double‐stranded DNA (dsDNA) plays a crucial role in genetic information storage and disease management, but its inherent stability limits access to internal bases. To overcome this challenge, various high‐specificity molecular targeting technologies have been developed to destabilize the DNA structure.

A trade‐off between efficiency and stability in a class of sky‐blue organic light‐emitting diodes

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
OLED efficiency and stability are correlated with device structure using combined experimental and simulation approach. Efficient, but less stable devices suffer mainly from exciton‐exciton annihilation, while their opposites have excitons predominantly quenched by polarons.

Enhancing the Sensitivity of Colorimetric Aptasensor Through Cd2+‐Thymine Interactions in ssDNA Loops for Food Contaminant Detection

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
This picture illustrates a novel aptamer‐based colorimetric assay, which demonstrates that high sensitivity, selectivity, and reliability for the rapid detection of cadmium ions (Cd2+) in water. Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have revealed that the complexes are more stable, with Cd2+ binding more tightly to the thymine (T) within the aptamer loop.
