A Freundlich-type multicomponent isotherm
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1981Abstract A multicomponent adsorption isotherm is derived based on the assumption that an exponential distribution of adsorption energies exists for each component. A prerequisite for the application of the isotherm is that each component individually obey the Freundlich isotherm.

The Freundlich Isotherm in Studying Adsorption in Oil Processing
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1996AbstractThe objective of this review is to discuss the history of the use of the Freundlich isotherm in investigating adsorption processing of vegetable oils and to evaluate its current value in adsorption studies. The Freundlich isotherm was originally developed to explain the adsorption of a single solute from solution.

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. Evolution of a Sleeping Beauty: The Freundlich Isotherm
Langmuir, 2023The name of Herbert Freundlich is commonly associated with a power relationship for adsorbed amount of a substance (Cads) against the concentration in solution (Csln), such that Cads = KCslnn; this isotherm (together with the Langmuir isotherm) is considered to be the model of choice for correlating the experimental adsorption data of micropollutants ...

A sorbent concentration-dependent Freundlich isotherm
Colloid and Polymer Science, 2012During study of the adsorption isotherms at solid–liquid interfaces, a sorbent concentration effect (Cs-effect) phenomenon was observed. In order to describe the Cs-effect, we proposed a new adsorption model, i.e., surface component activity (SCA) model. It supposes that the interaction between the sorbent particles exists in the real adsorption system,

Characterization of Molecularly Imprinted Polymers with the Langmuir−Freundlich Isotherm
Analytical Chemistry, 2001The majority of binding models that have been applied to molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have been homogeneous models. MIPs, on the other hand, are heterogeneous materials containing binding sites with a wide array of binding affinities and selectivities.

Tylosin sorption to diatomaceous earth described by Langmuir isotherm and Freundlich isotherm models
Chemosphere, 2018Tylosin, an antibiotic used for maintaining livestock health, is a macrolide structurally similar to a number of important, often prescribed human antibiotics. Because of this relationship, tylosin presents a potential threat of antimicrobial resistance from environmental buildup.

Freundlich's adsorption isotherm
Surface Science, 1973Abstract We present a brief derivation of Freundlich's adsorption isotherm using straightforeward methods of statistical mechanics. The assumption that the adsorbed atoms move in Morse potential wells of different depths leads to the observed compensation effect in the energy dependence of the occupation probability of surface sites, essential for ...

Thermodynamic quantities of adsorption described by Freundlich isotherm
Russian Chemical Bulletin, 1990Thermodynamic analysis of the Freundlich adsorption isotherm was performed. Equations describing the thermodynamic characteristics of adsorption as a function of the adsorbed quantity are presented, and relationships between the excess differential and average molar thermodynamic adsorption quantities were obtained.

Pressure Swing Adsorption for a System with a Freundlich Isotherm
Separation Science and Technology, 1987An analytical expression is obtained for the equilibrium relationship between the enrichment factor of the product stream and the ratio of the pressure in the feed stream to that in the product stream for a pressure-swing-adsorption system with a Freundlich isotherm.

Adsorption of Local Anesthetics on Activated Carbon: Freundlich Adsorption Isotherms
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1990We have shown that adsorbability of local anesthetics onto activated carbon, expressed by the partition coefficients at infinite dilution, correlated well with the pharmacological activity. However, there is no parameter that can singly express the tendency to be adsorbed.
