Nano-friction behavior of phosphorene

Nanotechnology, 2017
Abstract Nano-friction of phosphorene plays a significant role in affecting the controllability and efficiency of applying strain engineering to tune its properties. So far, the friction behavior of phosphorene has not been studied.

CHAOTIC BEHAVIOR OF FRICTION FORCE

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1992
Experimental results of friction in a mechanical system are reported. Strange properties of the friction force-velocity dependence are shown, where this relationship does not follow the typical assumption of the force proportional to the sign of the relative velocity.

Frictional Behavior of Polystyrene

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1967
The frictional coefficients of three fractions of polystyrene, each of sharp molecular-weight distribution, have been determined both from diffusion and sedimentation velocity experiments in cyclohexane at 35°C and in cyclohexane at 25°C. The coefficients obtained from the two methods agree within experimental error.
