The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Monomeric Friction Coefficient of Metalnanodispersible Polymeric Systems [PDF]
Influence of a nanodispersible metal excipient in number of 0 5,0 vol.% Cu for the size of a monomeric friction coefficient of polyvinylchloride (PVC) systems in temperature range 298 Т (Tg + 10) K is investigated.

This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Study on Friction Characteristics of AA7075 Aluminum Alloy under Pulse Current-Assisted Hot Stamping
Friction during contact between metals can be very complex in pulse current-assisted forming. Based on stamping process characteristics, a reciprocating friction tester was designed to study the friction characteristics between AA7075 aluminum alloy and ...

This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐

Study on Vibration Friction Reducing Mechanism of Materials
Friction has a vital role in studying materials’ and systems’ behavior. The friction between two objects and the inner friction of materials under the condition of vibration usually can present different characteristics.

Force autocorrelation function in linear response theory and the origin of friction
Vanishing of the equilibrium Green-Kubo fluctuation expression for the friction coefficient of a massive particle moving in a finite-volume liquid is usually interpreted as an unphysical consequence of the finite volume. Here I show that it is a physical

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...
