A Zn2+‐coordinated poly(vinylidene fluoride) binder is shown to suppress Jahn–Teller‐driven Mn dissolution while improving dispersion, wettability, and structural integrity in thick MnO2 cathodes. This simple binder‐engineering strategy enables high‐loading aqueous Zn‐ion batteries with enhanced areal capacity, cycling stability, and practical promise ...

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Fluid Forces Control Structural Remodeling of Blind‐Ended Lymphatic Microvessels
Using innovative microfluidic biofabrication with fluid mechanical insights, we recapitulated the blind‐ended microanatomy and physiological drainage properties of capillary lymphatics. Our results reveal the interrelationship between intra‐ and extraluminal regions of lymphatic vessels due to flow‐induced sprouting and morphological changes that ...

Contact Mechanics and Friction of Elastic Solids on Hard and Rough Substrates
This thesis presented an experimental study of contact mechanics and rubber friction. These are topics of huge importance in Nature and in technology. Despite its importance and the theoretical and experimental effort carried out, contact mechanics and rubber friction are still not well understood t day.

A study was made of surface roughness effects on dry friction between two metals, assuming that the asperities are cones of slopes which depend on the surface roughness. Theoretical expressions were derived for ploughing, adhesion and total friction coefficients of cones, spheres and aquare pyramids ploughing along the soft metal surface.

Enhanced Endoscopic Internal Drainage of Gastric Abscess Through Additively Manufactured Stents
Postoperative gastric leaks are often treated with off‐label biliary double‐pigtail stents, yet conventional extruded designs are not optimized for leak anatomy, can migrate, and may limit abscess evacuation. PETALS is introduced to optimize transmural drainage geometry and enable patient‐specific 3D‐printable stents.

Unveiling the Role of Curvature in Carbon for Improved Energy Release of Ammonium Perchlorate
High‐curvature carbon materials identified via machine learning and simulation can enhance the heat release and combustion performance of ammonium perchlorate. ABSTRACT The catalytic role of carbon curvature in the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) remains largely unexplored. To address this gap, this study employs machine learning and
