Analytical kinematics and working-condition simulation for friction stir welding (FSW) robot
In this paper, combining with the engineering reality needs, we developed a new type of friction stir welding robot welding system. Through the configuration analysis, introduces the structural components and functional roles of each part of the FSW robot, as well as the commonly used five kinds of typical working-conditions.

Emission of Nanoparticles During Friction Stir Welding (FSW) of Aluminium Alloys
Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, Part A, 2014Friction stir welding (FSW) is now well established as a welding process capable of joining some different types of metallic materials, as it was (1) found to be a reliable and economical way of producing high quality welds, and (2) considered a "clean" welding process that does not involve fusion of metal, as is the case with other traditional welding

Supervised Machine Learning in Friction Stir Welding (FSW)
2020The friction stir welding process was invented and patented by The Welding Institute (TWI), England in 1991 [1]. FSW process is a solid-state welding technique that is considered as a suitable joining technique for different weld type configurations such as T joints, butt joints, lap joints and butt joints.

The Use of Extruded Profiles as Filling Material in Friction Stir Welding (FSW)
Key Engineering Materials, 2009In this paper, an innovative approach is presented for joining two sheets with an extruded profile all made by AA6082-T6 aluminum alloy. The tested configuration is the T-joint and the innovation presented in this paper is the use of a specially design appendix of the extruded profile as filler material during the friction welding.

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) of Aged CuCrZr Alloy Plates
Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, 2017Friction Stir Welding (FSW) of Cu-0.80Cr-0.10Zr (in wt pct) alloy under aged condition was performed to study the effects of process parameters on microstructure and properties of the joint. FSW was performed over a wide range of process parameters, like tool-rotation speed (from 800 to 1200 rpm) and tool-travel speed (from 40 to 100 mm/min), and the ...
