The Impact of Friendshoring on Global Supply Chains

Friendshoring is a new, political disruption in the supply chains. It happens when a government pushes businesses to restructure supply chains, shifting production away from geopolitical rivals to friendly powers. The main aim of this paper is to estimate the economic costs and other effects of friend-shoring using a transportation model method.
