We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Parametric instability of a rotating shaft containing an elliptical front crack
Compared with the widely used straight front crack model, an elliptical front crack has been found to be more accurate and realistic for modeling the transverse surface crack in rotating machinery. When the shaft rotates, the elliptical crack opens and closes alternatively, due to gravity, and thus a breathing effect occurs.

Pelvic Rotation and Lower Extremity Motion With Two Different Front Foot Directions in the Tennis Backhand Groundstroke [PDF]
When a tennis player steps forward to hit a backhand groundstroke in closed stance, modifying the direction of the front foot relative to the net may reduce the risk of ankle injury and increase performance.

The existence of intrinsic rotating wave solutions of a flame/smoldering-front evolution equation
Summary: The Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation for Jordan curves is used to model the smoldering combustion of a sheet of paper. Here, the behavior of a rotating wave bifurcating from an expanding circle solution to this equation is mathematically analyzed. We also present some numerical examples in which the rotating waves are visualized.
