Microendovascular Neural Recording from Cortical and Deep Vessels with High Precision and Minimal Invasiveness

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Intravascular electroencephalography (ivEEG) using micro‐intravascular electrodes was developed. Cortical‐vein ivEEG showed a higher signal‐to‐noise ratio and finer spatial resolution of somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) than superior sagittal sinus ivEEG, and deep‐vein ivEEG captured clear visual evoked potentials.

Abnormal resting-state EEG neural oscillations and functional connectivity in mild cognitive impairment

open access: yesFrontiers in Aging Neuroscience
BackgroundMild cognitive impairment (MCI) exhibits abnormal resting-state EEG oscillations in delta (1–4 Hz), theta (4–7 Hz), and alpha (8–13 Hz) bands, though findings remain inconsistent.

Visuo-spatial construction in patients with frontal and parietal lobe lesions [PDF]

open access: yesNeuropsychological Trends, 2011
Visuospatial construction, traditionally viewed as a putative parietal function, also requires sustained attention, planning, organization strategies and error correction, and hence frontal lobe mediation.

An OGT Missense Variant With Impaired Enzyme Activity in a Child With Severe Developmental Delay and Hepatoblastoma

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT O‐GlcNAc transferase (OGT) and its antagonist O‐GlcNAcase (OGA) regulate protein O‐GlcNAcylation, a highly conserved post‐translational modification involved in metabolic sensing. Pathogenic variants in the OGT gene cause an X‐linked congenital disorder of glycosylation (OGT‐CDG) presenting developmental delay, hypotonia, intellectual ...

Neural Correlates of Social Perception Deficit in Schizophrenia: An Event-related Potential Study

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Neuroscience
Background: Deficits in emotion recognition have been shown to be closely related to social-cognitive functioning in schizophrenic. This study aimed to investigate the event-related potential (ERP) characteristics of social perception ...

Cerebral Small Vessel Disease in Older Adults With Olfactory Dysfunction

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Poor vascular health has been associated with age‐related declines in sensory functions, including olfaction. The current study was designed to test the hypothesis that cerebral small vessel disease underlies poor olfactory function due to structural declines in brain regions that support olfaction.

Establishment and molecular profiling of a PDX model of a metachronous brain tumor in a patient with constitutional mismatch repair deficiency with biallelic MSH6 variant

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
A 6½‐year‐old girl was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, SHH activated, subtype 3 and TP53 mutant (somatic). After surgery and chemotherapy, she was monitored with quarterly magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and remained free of disease for almost 4 years.
