Exploring Inverse Vulcanized Dicyclopentadiene As a Polymer Matrix for Carbon Fiber Composites

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering
Inverse vulcanization of waste or renewable dienes has generated materials with phenomenal properties across a spectrum of applications. Nevertheless, the use of these materials for structural applications remains a challenge. Here, the use of an inverse

Electronic Structure and Vibrational Properties of Indenotetracene-Based Crystal. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Comput Chem
This study explores the electronic, vibrational, and optical properties of dimethoxy‐substituted indenotetracene crystals using DFT and TDDFT. We identify two distinct dimeric structures, highlighting their impact on molecular packing, transition dipole moments, and electronic states, providing new insights into the role of polymorphism in organic ...

Advancements in surface-enhanced femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy: exploring factors influencing detectability and shapes of spectra. [PDF]

open access: yesNanophotonics
Abstract A combination of femtosecond stimulated Raman scattering and surface‐enhanced Raman scattering, termed surface‐enhanced stimulated Raman scattering (SE‐FSRS), was proposed to leverage both temporal precision and sensitivity for advanced molecular dynamics analysis.

PEASANTS, BRIGANDS, AND THE CHRONOPOLITICS OF THE NEW LEVIATHAN IN THE MEZZOGIORNO

open access: yesHistory and Theory, Volume 62, Issue 4, Page 24-44, December 2023., 2023
ABSTRACT The image of a backward, archaic South whose barbarian population had remained at a low tier of civilization was a child of Italian unification. Not unlike the Orientalist East, the South that meridionalist discourse brought forth was a “chronotopos”—that is, a time‐space that had supposedly remained in the past.

Right‐Wing Populist Parties' Bordering Narratives in Times of Crisis: Anti‐Immigration Discourse in the Genevan Borderland during the COVID‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesSwiss Political Science Review, Volume 28, Issue 4, Page 675-695, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Right‐wing populist parties (RWPPs) view immigration as a threat to national identity and cultural and political cohesion. This paper explores the discourse on immigration of two such parties during a systemic crisis (the COVID‐19 pandemic) in a borderland area that entails a specific “symbolization” of the border as a result of geographic ...

Synergies between polyacrylamide polymerization and nanoparticle generation using an atmospheric pressure plasma jet

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 19, Issue 11, November 2022., 2022
Plasma‐enabled free radical polymerization of acrylamide in an aqueous solution was catalyzed by the simultaneous generation of nanoparticles resulting in an increased percentage polymer yield up to 30 times. Polyacrylamide acted as a capping agent for silver nanoparticle formation.

The impact of coronavirus disease 2019 on emotional and behavioral stress of informal family caregivers of individuals with stroke or traumatic brain injury at chronic phase living in a Mediterranean setting

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2022., 2022
We reported results of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) impact from a psychological perspective, considering 10 emotional and 10 behavioral items, using the Head Injury Behavior Scale (HIBS) on informal family caregivers (n = 122) of individuals with stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI) living in the community.

Nanoscale structural characterization of plasmon‐driven reactions

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 10, Issue 6, Page 1657-1673, April 2021., 2021
Abstract Illumination of noble metal nanostructures by electromagnetic radiation induces coherent oscillations of conductive electrons on their surfaces. These coherent oscillations of electrons, also known as localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPR), are the underlying physical cause of the electromagnetic enhancement of Raman scattering from ...

TRECEREA PESTE FRONTIERA VAMALĂ A CONȚINUTULUI TRIMITERILOR POȘTALE

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Moldaviae: Stiinte Sociale, 2021
În acest articol autorii analizează procedura de trecere peste frontiera vamală a trimiterilor poștale, care la prima vedere pare a fi un proces simplu, dar destul de complicat în esență.
