Sparse attention convolution-ViT model for working condition recognition in zinc flotation
Accurate recognition of working conditions can optimize the zinc flotation process and improve its efficiency. Traditionally, this recognition heavily relies on manual observations of froth appearance, a method prone to human error and subjective ...

Origami‐Inspired Structural Design for Aquatic‐Terrestrial Amphibious Robots
This work presents a lightweight amphibious origami robot actuated by a single shape memory alloy wire. A rigid foldable origami structure with displacement amplification enables efficient terrestrial crawling and aquatic swimming. The addition of fan‐shaped units allows controllable turning in both environments.

Factors affecting the kinetics of froth flotation [PDF]
In this research work, three types of flotation models (discrete, mean rate and the gamma function models) are modified based on the relationship between mass recovery and recovery. The modified models can be used to calculate both the recovery and grade

Recent Advances in Flotation Froth Image Analysis [PDF]
Machine vision is widely used in the monitoring of froth flotation plants as a means to assist control operators on the plant. While these systems have a mature ability to analyse physical froth features, such as the colour of the froth and bubble size ...

By engineering the molecular order and thickness of PDMS layers, we reconcile the stickiness and slipperiness during bubble transport. AFM measurements and MD simulations further reveal how these nanoscale architectures tune hydrophobic interaction FHB and friction force f.

A Review on Froth Washing in Flotation
In the attempt to process lower-grade ores, mineral flotation has taken centre stage as the preferred recovery route. However, in many instances, the froth product does not have a high grade due to the entrainment of gangue minerals.
