Effect of Bonding Layer on Guided Wave Mode Behavior in FRP Plate Bonded on Concrete
In this study, effects of bonding agent, e.g. epoxy, on the behavior of fundamental guided wave modes propagated in FRP plate bonded on a concrete, are investigated. Global matrix model of multilayered FRP-epoxy-concrete system was constructed to obtain the velocity and attenuation dispersion curves of the fundamental A0 and S0 modes.

Deflection behaviour of FRP reinforced concrete flexural members [PDF]
The design of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforced concrete (RC) can often be governed by the serviceability limit state of deflection. Currently, the evaluation of short-term deflection of FRP RC is undertaken using radically different approaches ...

Fracture analysis of debonding mechanism for FRP plates [PDF]
Inevitable flaws in the concrete-FRP interface govern plate debonding, and are not amenable to finite element analysis because the models require far more detail than will ever be available for the interface. This thesis describes a global-energy-balance

NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF THE PERFORMANCE OF INSULATED FRP-STRENGTHENED REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS IN FIRE [PDF]
Fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) have been widely used in retrofitting and strengthening of deteriorated or deficient reinforced concrete (RC) elements. A major concern about those systems is their performance under elevated temperature which limits the ...

Improvement of capacity in bending by the use of FRP layers on RC beams [PDF]
Carbonâ€filled plastic bands are more extensively used for strengthening the permanently exploited curved elements. As a result, the bending rigidity of the element is increased and the crack formation process is changed. Investigation of these problems is carried out basing on the model of laminated material, in which the mechanical properties of ...

Adhesive Layer Modeling in Concrete Beam Strengthened with FRP in an EFG Framework
The main challenging issue in concrete beam strengthening with FRP plates is the insurance of their joint performance. As been reported, the external load is mainly the primary reason for plate separation. The applied force corresponding to the moment of failure is called the debonding load. This load is of great importance.
