We report the case of a female patient presenting to the emergency department with postprandial syncope and atrial fibrillation. After amiodarone administration, the electrocardiogram showed marked QT prolongation associated with ventricular arrhythmias, including an episode of torsade de pointes requiring immediate electrical cardioversion.
