Studies on the inheritance of fruit shape in the eggplant
ナスの果形の遺傳關係を知らんとして, 主として圓形×長形の交雜を行ひ, 果形の測定にあたつては果形指數として縦徑/横徑を算出した。今得たる成績の概要を記すと次ぎのやうである。1. 果形指數の平均價大なる品種は小なる品種に比し, 其の標準偏差も亦大である。換言すれば長形果品種は圓形果品種に比し果形の變異が大きい。2. 圓形×長形 F1 の果形は兩親の中間であるが, 稍ゝ圓形の親に近い。即ち圓形は長形に對して不完全優性と考へられる。3. F2 の分離は其のモードが唯一つで, 圓形の親の方に偏した即ち略ゝ正の不對稱曲線を示し, 其の變異係數は F1 よりも遙かに大である。4. F3 の分離は F2 に似てゐるが, 變異係數は F2 よりも小さくなる。5.
