Catechol Derivative‐Based Bioadhesives: Molecular Design for Precision Medical Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilizes tree‐inspired side‐chain engineering to graft five catechol derivatives onto PVA, systematically revealing how side‐chain length and substituents regulate adhesion and cohesion properties. Among them, the PVA‐CA patch demonstrates superior tissue adhesion, biocompatibility, and promotes regeneration, establishing a programmable ...

The King Fruit versus Lateral Fruit Thinning Effects on Yield and Fruit Quality in Apple

open access: yesInternational Journal of Fruit Science, 2007
ABSTRACT This research was conducted to determine the king versus lateral fruit thinning effects on yield and fruit quality of ‘Elstar’, ‘Granny Smith’, ‘Starkrimson Delicious’, ‘Ultra Red’, ‘Topred’, and ‘Jonagold’ apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) cultivars grafted on MM106 rootstock in 2002-2003.

Comparative Oligo‐FISH Mapping Illuminates Chromosomal Evolution Among Rutaceae Species Diverged Over 50 Million Years

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligonucleotide‐based fluorescence in situ hybridization probes were developed in the model citrus species Citrus maxima. These probes were applied to comparative karyotyping across 14 species in the Rutaceae family. This analysis revealed chromosomal evolution in lineages that diverged from Citrus nearly 52 million years ago.

Haplotype‐Resolved 3D Genomic Landscapes and Their Impacts on Agronomic Traits in Grapevine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a haplotype‐resolved 3D genomic landscape of grapevine, revealing that structural variations (SVs) are closely associated with phased topologically associating domain (TAD) boundary transitions. These rearrangements coordinate with allele‐specific DNA methylation (ASM) and allele‐biased gene expression (ASE) to shape key agronomic ...

Cars2‐Mediated Cysteine Catabolism Drives Brown Fat Development and Thermogenesis Through Persulfidating EBF2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that Cars2, a cysteine catabolic enzyme in mouse iBAT, is critical for cold tolerance and brown adipocyte differentiation. Through its CPERS activity, Cars2 produces CysSSH/H2S to induce EBF2 persulfidation, promoting its interaction with PPARγ and BRG1 to enhance thermogenic gene expression.

Correlation and path coefficient analysis studies on yield and attributing characters in brinjal (Solanum melongena L.) [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2012
Correlation studies with twenty five F1 hybrids in brinjal revealed that yield per plant showed positive correlation with number of branches per plant, percentage of long styled flowers, number of fruits per plant, fruit dry matter content and ascorbic ...

Bioinspired Adaptive Leg‐Claw Enables Robust Perching and Grasping for UAVs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by owl limb morphology and bat roosting behavior, this study presents a bioinspired adaptive leg‐claw mechanism that enables UAVs to perform robust and versatile perching and grasping. The design integrates a four‐link tibial structure, tension‐driven deformable feet, and active control, enabling stable perching on various branches and ...
