A hierarchically structured Fe‐BTC‐PMA immobilized 3D‐printed platform is engineered as a robust artificial enzyme for colorimetric glucose sensing. The hybrid architecture efficiently activates H2O2 to drive TMB oxidation. This integrated system enables sensitive, reusable, and scalable detection with enhanced catalytic stability and analytical ...

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

Interconnected cavernous structure of bacterial fruiting bodies. [PDF]
The formation of spore-filled fruiting bodies by myxobacteria is a fascinating case of multicellular self-organization by bacteria. The organization of Myxococcus xanthus into fruiting bodies has long been studied not only as an important example of ...
