The Many Faces of FSH

2000
Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) was originally discovered based on its ability to synergize with luteinizing hormone (LH) in the stimulation of ovarian follicle development. FSH is a globular glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 28, 000–30, 000. It consists of a common α and specific β subunits that form a dimer without covalent linkage.
