Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Performance of Plasma‐Assisted Hybrid Friction Stir Welded Dissimilar Aluminum–Copper Joints

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 28, Issue 3, 4 February 2026.
Plasma‐assisted hybrid friction stir welding of dissimilar AlCu joints employs localized plasma preheating to balance heat input and enhance plastic flow. The optimized process reduces axial force by up to 35%, refines the microstructure, and achieves ≈96% joint efficiency.

Optimization of FSW parameters for maximum UTS of AA6082/SiC/10 composites

open access: yesAdvanced Composites Letters, 2019
Friction stir welding (FSW) offers significant advantage when compared with fusion joining process such as no shield gas or flux are used, no harmful gases are produced, thereby making the FSW environmentally friendly.

Statistical model of the tool/workpiece mechanical interactions in FSW [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The robotization of the FSW process is facing two challenges which are to support the amplitude of the tool / workpiece mechanical interaction generated by welding and to apply the process parameters and in particular the axial force.

FSW varjenje bakra

open access: yes, 2021
V diplomskem delu smo prikazali varjenje dveh bakrenih zlitin Cu-HCP (CW0021A/C10300) in Cu-ETP (CW004A/C11000). Podrobneje smo opisali kemijsko sestavo bakra in opisali njegove fizikalne lastnosti. Na kratko smo podali opis legiranja bakra z drugimi elementi in nastanek zlitin po legiranju.

Tracking Baseflow Supply Dynamics Using SWOT Data From Small Groundwater‐Dominated Lakes

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 2, February 2026.
Satellite‐based measurements of groundwater flow‐through kettle lakes efficiently track dynamic groundwater storage at local to regional scales (modified from USGS Scientific Investigations Report 2011–5137). ABSTRACT In situ surface‐water monitoring strategies are biased towards larger perennial streams and lakes and are generally not designed to ...

Is PEPFAR Funding for Key Populations Aligned with the Epidemiologic Burden? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Key populations (KPs)—gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM); people who inject drugs (PWID), female sex workers (FSW); and transgender people (TG)—are at significantly higher risk for HIV, face a higher burden of disease, have less ...
