Molecular Spectroscopy as an alternative for dating Textiles

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
Ancient linen textiles undergo with time a slow change reflected in their Infrared and Raman spectra. The recording of FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra, that reveals a disappearance of some bands and appearance of other ones during the centuries, enables a ...

Application of FT-IR spectroscopy for determination of clarithromycin in pharmaceuticals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Method for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of clarithromycin – macrolide antibiotic – in pharmaceutical formulations was developed by using Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) transmission spectroscopy for quality control.

Self‐Powered Permeable Electronic Dressing for Exudate Management, Electrostimulation and Drug Delivery in Chronic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a self‐powered permeable electronic dressing (SPED) that synergistically integrates exudate management, electrical stimulation, and on‐demand drug delivery. The dressing effectively absorbs exudate while demonstrating potent antibacterial activity and accelerated tissue regeneration in diabetic mouse models, thereby promoting ...

XRD AND IR INVESTIGATIONS OF SOME COMMERCIAL POLYSTYRENE SAMPLES THERMALLY DEGRADED

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai Chemia, 2018
Thermal degradation of commercial polystyrene was investigated by XRD and FT-IR methods. The samples were heated 30 minutes at temperatures 140ºC, 200ºC, 250ºC, 300ºC and 350ºC and then brought back to room temperature.

Nucleation‐Controlled Reconstruction of CuOx for Selective CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The ratio of oxygen vacancies (Ov) and exposed Cu2O (111)/(200) of CuOx precatalyst is modulated by nucleation control of Cu(OH)2 precursor. Low Ov ratio and high ratio of Cu2O (111)/(200) in slow‐nucleated CuOx reconstructs to high‐coordinated oxide‐derived copper (OD‐Cu) during electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) and exhibits enhanced ...

Dual‐Site Ru Single‐Atoms and RuP Nanoclusters on N, P, and B Co‐Doped Porous Carbon for Efficient Alkaline HER and AEM Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ru single atoms and RuP nanoclusters are co‐anchored in N, P, and B co‐doped porous carbon nanospheres via in situ carbonization/phosphidation of a boronate polymer precursor. RuP activates water, while nearby Ru single atoms accelerate H2 formation through H* transfer. The catalyst delivers low overpotential and high durability in alkaline HER and AEM

Estudio por espectroscopía infrarroja de la reacción de obtención de geles de borosilicato con diferentes relaciones Si/B

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio, 2005
Borosilicate gels with different Si/B ratio have been prepared by the sol-gel method. Such gels were obtained by hydrolysis and further condensation of TEOS (tetraethylorthosilicate) and TEB (triethylborate) alkoxides in acidic aqueous media.

Prenucleation Species Dictate Foreign Ion Incorporation in the Biomineral Precursor Amorphous Calcium Carbonate

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ACC forms via aggregating prenucleation clusters that gatekeep its chemical composition. Ion identity steers the path: Ba and Sr substitute Ca in clusters, thereby inhibiting nucleation, with a dose‐dependent switch of Sr to induction. Mg partitions into Mg‐rich and Mg‐poor clusters; the latter form ACC, expelling Mg.
