Characterization of the curing agents used in epoxy resins with TG/FT-IR technique

open access: yesPolímeros, 2006
Samples of epoxy resin (EP) based on the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA), cured with nadic methyl anhydride (NMA) and mercaptan (CAPCURE 3-800), or amine-phenol (CAPCURE EH-30), respectively, SE 4 and SE 5, were prepared in the stoichiometric ...

Carbohydrate and lipid spectroscopic molecular structures of different alfalfa hay and their relationship with nutrient availability in ruminants [PDF]

open access: yesAsian-Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2017
Objective This study was conducted to determine molecular structures related to carbohydrates and lipid in alfalfa hay cut at early bud, late bud and early flower and in the afternoon and next morning using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT/IR)

Surface Grafting of Poly(L-glutamates). 3. Block Copolymerization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
This paper describes for the first time the synthesis of surface-grafted AB-block copolypeptides, consisting of poly(γ-benzyl L-glutamate) (PBLG) as the A-block and poly(γ-methyl L-glutamate) (PMLG) as the B-block.

Electrical and FT-IR measurements of undoped N-type INP materials grown from various stoichiometric melts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
P-rich, In-rich and Stoichiometric undoped InP melts have been synthesed by phosphorus in-situ injection method. InP crystal ingots have been grown from these melts by Liquid Encapsulated Czochralski (LEC).

Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy for typing of vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium: performance analysis and outbreak investigation

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum, 2023
Vancomycin-resistant Enterococci, mainly Enterococcus faecium (VREfm), are causing nosocomial infections and outbreaks. Bacterial typing methods are used to assist in outbreak investigations.

Effects of Low Carbohydrate High Protein (LCHP) diet on atherosclerotic plaque phenotype in $ApoE/LDLR^{-/-}$ mice : FT-IR and Raman imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Low Carbohydrate High Protein (LCHP) diet displays pro-atherogenic effects, however, the exact mechanisms involved are still unclear. Here, with the use of vibrational imaging, such as Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and Raman (RS) spectroscopies, we ...

A Different Perspective on the Solid Lubrication Performance of Black Phosphorous: Friend or Foe?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Researchers investigate black phosphorous (BP) as a standalone solid lubricant coating through ball‐on‐disc linear‐reciprocating sliding experiments in dry conditions. Testing on different metals shows BP doesn't universally reduce friction and wear. However, it achieves 33% friction reduction on rougher iron surfaces and 23% wear reduction on aluminum.

Determinação quantitativa da concentração de silicone em antiespumantes por espectroscopia FT-IR / ATR e calibração multivariada Quantitative determination of silicone in antifoaming products by FT-IR / ATR spectroscopy and multivariate calibration

The dissolution and solid-state behaviours of coground ibuprofen–glucosamine HCl [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The cogrinding technique is one of most effective methods for improving the dissolution of poorly water-soluble drugs and it is superior to other approaches from an economical as well as an environmental standpoint, as the technique does not require any ...
