FT-IR/UATR and FT-IR transmission quantitative analysis of PBT/PC blends

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2020
Abstract Polymer blends are produced to achieve properties that pure polymers are unable to. The qualitative analysis of these blends is not always satisfactory to point out failures in the final product and, therefore, the determination of their content might be required.

Tailored Polymer‐Based SEI via iCVD for Stable Zinc Metal Anodes in Aqueous Batteries through Modulation of Hydrophilicity and Elasticity to Inhibit Hydrogen Evolution Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A stretchable and superhydrophobic pF1V1 polymer layer is conformally coated on Zn metal via iCVD, forming a water‐repelling interphase that inhibits the hydrogen evolution reaction. This tailored interface maintains excellent electrolyte compatibility while suppressing dendrite growth, thereby enhancing the long‐term electrochemical stability of Zn ...

Synthesis, FT–IR characterization and crystal structure of aqua(5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrinato-κ4N)manganese(III) trifluoromethanesulfonate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2016
In the title salt, [Mn(C44H28N4)(H2O)](CF3SO3) or [MnIII(TPP)(H2O)](CF3SO3) (where TPP is the dianion of 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin), the MnIII cation is chelated by the four pyrrole N atoms of the porphyrinate anion and additionally coordinated by ...

TG, FT-IR and NMR characterization of n-C16H34 contaminated alumina and silica after mechanochemical treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper deals with the application of mechanochemistry to model systems composed of alumina or silica artificially contaminated with n-C16H34. The mechanochemical treatment was carried out by means of a ring mill for times ranging from 10 to 40 h ...

FeDSNP‐Pa Nanoassemblies: A Triple‐Action Therapeutic Strategy Targeting Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Pyroptosis for Retinal Ganglion Cell Protection in Glaucoma

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
FeDSNP‐Pa, a metallized nanoparticle loaded with sodium pyruvate (Pa), exerts triple therapeutic effects by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS), suppressing inflammatory responses, and inhibiting pyroptosis signaling pathways. This multifunctional neuroprotective strategy protecting retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) from elevated intraocular pressure ...

Tunable Synthetic Hydrogel Modulates Hepatic Lineage Specification of Human Liver Organoid

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, a synthetic hydrogel is reported that supports the formation of hiPSC‐derived human liver organoids (HLOs). Hepatic lineage specification can be modulated via conjugation of RGD peptide to hydrogel: RGD‐conjugated hydrogels promote cholangiocyte differentiation, whereas RGD‐free hydrogels favor hepatocyte commitment of HLO cells.

Synthesis And Characterization Of Polyynes End-Capped By Biphenyl Groups ({\Alpha},{\Omega}-Biphenylpolyynes)

open access: yes, 2018
Stable polyyne chains terminated with biphenyl end groups (a,u-biphenylpolyynes) were synthesized in a single step through a simple procedure by using the Cadiot-Chodkiewicz reaction conditions.

Double-walled carbon nanotube dispersion via surfactant substitution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A new approach for the stabilisation of double-walled carbon nanotubes in aqueous media was developed. A low molecular weight surfactant was used in the first stage for the debundling of the nanotubes followed by substitution with a higher molecular ...
